RockHopper provides our customers with bespoke mortgage and protection advice. We can help customers with both standard requirements as well as those that have complex, slightly unusual or non-standard requirements.
We are based in the heart of the City of London at Guildhall Yard and also on the Isle of Wight. We work with clients in the UK and worldwide to help arrange mortgages on properties in the UK.
Many of our clients contact us, and are looking for advice regarding the best lender for their particular situation. Some customers may have standard requirements for a mortgage whereas others may either given up hope of getting a mortgage due to their complex situation, or have been declined by their Bank or Lender due to issues regarding them individually, what they propose to do or the property they wish to secure a mortgage against.
Our fully trained CeMAP consultants will advise on the most appropriate mortgage and protection solution to meet your needs and requirements, given your circumstances.
We work with a comprehensive range of lenders from across the entire UK market. We work with High Street lenders, Challenger Banks, Building Societies and Specialist Lenders who can assess each mortgage application manually on a case by case basis.
Our customers appreciate this approach, as it gives them the great deal of flexibility as to the lender we approach for a mortgage.
How we work
We follow a four stage process in assisting clients:
- Initial Conversation: an initial 10 to 15 minute telephone conversation where you can brief us on your situation and requirements. At the end of this conversation we will be able to give you an indication as to whether we can assist and, if so, what the likely mortgage rate will be along with your monthly mortgage payments.
- Questionnaire and Document Collation: if we are both happy to proceed from Stage 1, we will ask for a refundable commitment fee, typically £495, to be paid to us by credit or debit card. A 45 minute questionnaire will then be completed. We will discuss your case with the lender directly to obtain a Decision in Principle. We will then write to you with a Welcome Pack and a list of documents to supply to support your application.
- Application: once all of your documents have been received and assessed we will submit your application to the lender for full assessment, credit checks and a valuation of the property. All being well a mortgage offer will be issued.
- Completion: once you complete on your mortgage we will request payment of our completion fee which is typically £1,000.
