Mortgage with Maternity Pay
At RockHopper we can assist clients in receipt of maternity pay.
During maternity leave, we find that some client(s) can be paid much less than their normal salary, with some in receipt of statutory maternity pay alone.
We are contacted by clients who tell us that they are concerned they may not be able to obtain a mortgage or remortgage for the amount they require, as they are currently on maternity leave and their income has reduced.
Additionally, some client(s) inform us that they have been told they are expected to return to work within a set time frame, in order to qualify for the mortgage amount they require. This sometimes does not meet with their plans or their child may have special needs which require a longer period off work.Read More >>
We are often told by our self employed clients that their income reduced substantially during their maternity leave. They are concerned they may not be able to get a mortgage due to this when a lender looks at their track record of income over the last 3 years.
At RockHopper, we can assess a mortgage individually and understand that everyone is different and has their own unique scenario. This may mean a dip in income during maternity, or an extended return to work date.
Do get in touch if you want some assistance in obtaining a mortgage with maternity income.
We offer a free initial, no obligation, assessment to see if we can help you.
